About Focus Resume
Focus Resume is a free resume builder that works in your browser. You open it, type your details, and download a clean resume. No account, no email, no watermark.
Why we made it
Many resume sites let you spend an hour on your resume and then ask for payment at the last step, or ask you to sign up before you can save anything. We wanted a tool that does the useful part for free, and keeps your information on your own device.
What you can do
- Build a resume with a live A4 preview, on a phone or a computer.
- Choose from 54 styles, including ATS-friendly and two-column designs.
- Check an ATS score and see which keywords from a job advert you are missing.
- Save a PDF with real, selectable text, plus a Word file or a PNG image.
- Upload an old CV (PDF, Word or text) and keep editing it.
- Write a first draft of a cover letter from your resume.
- Keep three separate drafts and save a backup file.
How we think about it
- Free and simple. The main tool needs no sign-up.
- Private by design. Your resume is stored in your browser, not on our servers.
- Honest about ATS. Our score is a guide based on common resume rules. We do not claim to know how any one employer's system will rank you, and we do not promise interviews.
- Plain language. The guide and the tips are written to be easy to follow.
Who is behind it
Focus Resume is part of Global Tools Box, a collection of free online tools and calculators. We keep the tools free, and the site may show ads from third-party networks to help cover its costs. You can read more in our Privacy Policy.
